We arrived in Scotland at the Edinburgh airport around 5pm after we missed our original flight due to a delay from Denver. On the flight from London to Edinburgh I gave myself a scare by almost loosing my wedding ring. Generally when I am washing my hands I take off my wedding ring because it is made of steel and rusts when wet. On the plane I went to the restroom and put my ring in my pocket while I washed my hands. Upon returning to my seat and putting back on my seatbelt I realized I had not returned my ring to is place on my finger.
I frantically searched all my pockets and looked all over my seat, but could not find the ring. After about fifteen minutes of searching I decided to tell Hannah what had happened. She shook her head and told me I better find it. I looked all around except in the seats of the the two sleeping passengers around me ( I was in a middle seat ). After stressing and looking all over for the entire flight the man to my left finally awoke. I told him what I had lost my ring and jokingly he said “At least its not your wife’s ring” and I replied “I completely agree!”.
As we where beginning the landing approach the man next to me shifted in his seat and I saw my ring. After it was safely on my finger I breathed a huge sigh of relief and informed Hannah that it had been found. I think it must have popped out of my pocket after I sat down and pulled out my earbud headphones. After that I resolved to stop taking my ring off to wash my hands. Whew bullet dodged!!
Upon arriving we were quite exhausted from the day of traveling, so we made our way to the hotel.

After we had been fed we headed strait to the hotel for some much needed sleep.
I think everyone slept poorly on the first night but none the less, we were up and at breakfast at 8am. It was a rainy day and I don’t remember seeing the sunshine until around 6pm when we met up with our tour group. After breakfast we were off to Edinburgh Caste to explore the various exhibits and take pictures from the large hill which the castle is seated upon. I enjoyed seeing the city from the hill because it gave me a good sense of how the city was oriented.
After throughly exploring the castle we got some lunch and headed down the Royal Mile to the north bridge.
