On day three we started our day with the tour group by walking around Edinburgh and learning more about the city and its history. It was a beautiful sunny day, as shown in the picture below. It was like this nearly all day until about 5:30pm, when it started to rain quite heavily!
We spend the majority of the day wandering our way towards Edinburgh Castle, while stopping to see the sights along the way. Our journey lead us from the park east of Edinburgh Castle, to Grassmarket street and Greyfriars Kirk. Then onto the Nation Museum of Scotland, after that we headed to the Royal Mile. The group tour ended at the Castle after the daily firing of the cannon at 1pm.
